Pet Wellness

Need shots or an exam? No problem. Here at Westside we will take a look at your pet and make sure that your pet is healthy, vaccinated and ready to go. If he or she is feeling under the weather, our veterinary team will help pin-point the problem and guide you on the possible treatment options available.

Your pets may be healthy today, but who knows what will happen in the future? Nowadays, pet insurance is becoming more commonplace, and for good reason too. At Westside we accept most forms of pet insurance and also accept CareCredit as well, so your pet is covered in the long-run.

Are you going to take your pet with you on your next vacation out of the state, country or continent? Make sure your pet is fully vaccinated and treated for parasites according to the rules and regulations of the destination country. At Westside we can help take care of some of the pre-boarding treatments and documents you may need for your pet before you travel.

Westside offers emergency veterinary treatment during our office hours. Dr. Romeo M. Perez is the chief veterinarian at the Westside Animal Hospital.

He did his intensive post graduate course in small animal medicine and preceptorship at the Animal Medical Center and obtained his Masters in Microbiology from Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY.

Dr. Perez is a knowledgeable and experienced veterinarian. His expertise lies in soft tissue surgery. He has previously worked at multiple animal hospitals in Queens and Manhattan before taking over the Westside Animal Hospital as its director. He offers low cost spay and neuters through the Friends of Animals and Muffin’s Pet Care programs.

Dr. Romeo Perez is a gentle and kindhearted doctor focusing on quality of care. He leads the Westside Animal Hospital in his dedication to providing quality and compassionate care for your pet’s medical and surgical needs.
